FREDERICKSBURG, Va., June 17, 2008 - Rev your engines and get ready to cruise as the Virginia H.O.G. Rally (Harley Owners Group) rides into town Thursday, June 19 through Saturday June 21 in Fredericksburg.
GEICO Motorcycle is a presenting sponsor of the Virginia H.O.G. Rally to raise money for NIH Children's Charities, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington and Fight for Children. The Bikers for Tykes portion of the Rally will begin at 9 a.m. at the Fredericksburg Expo & Conference Center and end at 12 p.m. on June 21.
Each year over 2,000 motorcycle enthusiasts from the DC Metro area begin their annual ride and show off their top-of-the-line motorcycles. This year's event will include a "Best Bike" contest, Texas Hold'em poker tournament and photos with the Redskins cheerleaders. Families are welcome to enjoy the children's activities, entertainment from local bands and a GEICO Powersports display with "Big" Rick Hoffman.
Visitors can also participate in the "Bikers for Tykes" silent and live auction during the Rally. Items include Super Bowl tickets, US Open tickets and seats in the Pit at a NASCAR race.
