DURHAM, N.C., June 2, 2008 - Gina Palminteri Soviero, GEICO field representative, recently opened a new office at 5319 New Hope Commons Drive, Suite 102-A, in Durham, N.C., to serve local residents with their insurance needs for auto, motorcycle, home, boat and other insurance coverages.

Soviero and her staff have more than 35 years of experience in the insurance industry. Prior to opening a local field office, Soviero worked at both GEICO's Woodbury, N.Y., and Virginia Beach, Va., office for 16 years serving in a variety of positions, most recently as manager of GEICO's Powersports division. She holds a bachelors degree in political science and psychology from Stony Brook University. She is also a member of the Chamber of Commerce in both Durham and Chapel Hill.
